when we were there last time in 2003 for the japanese tourist guide I was quite impressed by the old town, how much it still had the medival heritage preserved and how much of 'german' culture was still present.
   

now sibiu did an interesting move and is co - European Capital of Cultura 2007. tv documentaries tell me they invested some 27 mio. euro to improve infrastructure and the town.

there is only one way to find out, what it's like now, go there ... and so we will, update our photo archives and get you the news. as soon as either snow or longer periods of sunshine are expected we will travel ... and post images here.

the website is pretty weak and the popup ads quite annoying ...
