css/ xhtml mockups with photoshop?

fireworks out, imageready in?

http://www.alistapart.com/articles/quickcssmockupswithphotoshop

sometimes it needs somebody else to open one's eye to the obvious. sometimes it's not obvious but a hidden gem.

I am by far an html/ css master but firmly committed to get things 'right', so every tool helping in this process is welcome.

fireworks was up to now 'the' tool for slicing mockups ... with all the annoyances mentioned in above blog as well. tables, less than nice html but still great for buttons and 'designers' that learned it way back and stick to it.

up to now the process was to slice the mockups/ art work in fw and hand build something with divs in dreamweaver that sort of worked ok cross browser ...

I will try photoshop/ imageready on one of the next projects and will report back how I did with this - faster/ better/ not at all ...
